Ronald Tracy Evans
PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ronald “Tracy” Evans is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Perdure Petroleum LLC. Along with a majority of the management team and its equity partners, Tracy founded Perdure Petroleum LLC in 2018. Earlier in his career he held management, technical and operating positions with Matador Petroleum and Enserch Exploration in various operating areas within the US.
Tracy previously held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Denbury Resources (NYSE: DNR), when he departed to gain experience in private oil and gas ventures. Denbury is the leading developer of CO2 EOR projects in the US, focused on CO2 EOR recovery in the MS, LA, SE, TX and the Rocky Mountain regions. Multiple large-scale CO2 pipelines and sixteen (16) CO2 projects were either expanded or initiated during his tenure at Denbury.
Currently, he serves on the Board of Discovery Natural Resources, a private oil and gas company. He formally served on the Board of Inventys (A CO2 Capture Technology Company) and the Boards of Genesis Energy (NYSE: GEL) and Encore Energy Partners (NYSE: ENP) during his tenure with Denbury.
He is a professional engineer, with a BS in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - OPERATIONS
Bob Sutherland’s diverse 41 years background, primarily as a reservoir engineer, includes exploration through tertiary recovery, project design, unconventional resources, gas storage and new ventures.
Prior to joining Perdure Petroleum, he was with Denbury Resources, Encore Acquisition Company, Champlin/Union Pacific Resources and Southern California Gas Company where he held numerous engineering management and technical lead positions. Tackling the most difficult technical problems and developing new projects has been his forte.
He served 10 years for the Society of Petroleum Engineers as a Professional Engineering Licensing exam author and grader as well as, an University Accreditation (ABET) engineering program evaluator.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Thomas Rajan was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Perdure Petroleum LLC in February 2020. He brings over 30 years of business and finance experience to his role at Perdure, with over 24 years in oil and gas industry finance, capital restructuring, credit, and management of accounting and risk functions.
Most recently, he was with H View Advisors, where he would consult with operators to source drilling capital. He has also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Rex Energy Corporation, a Pennsylvania-based company focused on exploration and production in Appalachia. He worked primarily with the CEO, Board of Directors, and external financial institutions to identify and execute strategic initiatives to create additional financial capacity and flexibility for the company to survive the low commodity price cycle.
He has an extensive career in banking, working as a trusted advisor to a number of public and private independent oil and gas companies. His last role in banking was Managing Director of KeyBanc Capital Markets in Dallas, where he spent eight years in investment and corporate banking roles, ultimately leading the practice.
He is keenly focused on assessing and quantifying appropriate risk and return on upstream projects. In addition, he has spent a number of years in corporate finance roles with Comerica Bank as a commercial banker, Cross Timbers Oil Company as assistant treasurer, and JP Morgan Chase as an associate.
He is a graduate of the Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from Texas Tech University.
